hey there! I'm Jax, and this is my website!

I mostly just blog here about the books I'm reading and anything else that feels important to me at the moment

this site doesn't contain any explicit materials, but I am an adult, and I do talk about adult themes such as sex and mental health, I also swear a lot and use the fag word
I would categorize this site as WEB-14, if that is a helpful metric for you

feel free to poke around, I'm always updating and tweaking the site, so theres almost always new stuff to see

theres a few different themes to choose from in the top left corner, and it should stay on the selected theme as you move through the site

A bit about the site

I made this site in August of 2024, about a year after quitting social media. I had been looking for a customizable blog format, but all the prefab sites I found had minimal customization, so I made this

now that I've actually learned how to utilize CSS and HTML tools to create the outcome I want, I decided to remake a lot of my site pages and clean up the code

this is my second version of my site (you can see v1 here)

this site is coded in VS code and pushed through github, it's optimized for desktops and wider screens, but should be usable on any screen size

the navigation bar sometimes disappears on firefox mobile or firefox in narrow windows, since I used a specific tool that firefox has not yet integrated

feel free to take inspiration or even copy my code directly, if you want more information on how I did anything on this site, feel free to leave a comment below or email me!

I try to only publish changes once I have everything 100% fixed and working, but if you do find something that is broken, please email me at:
