Language update

It's been a tough few days. I've slept a lot, and gotten very little done. I feel exhausted, and I'm not even the one who got chemo.

I talked to my partner about certain frustrations that I've had, and hes been great about finding solutions even with him having low energy after chemo. He is such a great fucking guy. I'm not used to being in a healthy relationship, but I've been learning.

I found the entire Pimsleur course through 2022, and I downloaded a handful of the languages I want to learn, including spanish and korean, but it only had korean through level 3, so I bought 4 and 5 with my audible credits and downloaded them for my audio player. (if you want them, email me) I've been primarily focusing on spanish, but I've been trying to keep up with memrise for korean daily. I've also been using AnkiDroid irregularly for both spanish and korean. I will say, both memrise and pimsleur are effective so far. Because I can read the korean alphabet and sound out words, getting back into korean is easier, plus because I've attempted to learn it several times, I have a small vocabulary that I already know, and some phrases I still use in everyday life, mostly 뭐에요 and 누구에요, also sometimes 가자. I've been trying to learn this language for almost a decade, I'm hoping I can actually stick with it this time. Theres also a book I want to read, I read most of it several years ago, but I never finished it.

I can't wait till I can read books and watch movies and tv shows in spanish and korean. I wonder if I can fins the percy jackson books in either language.... I want to reread them, and that would be a great way to do so. They do! The korean ones are kinda expensive, but I could probably get the spanish ones relatively soon... then I'll have it in 2 languages lol.

My job finally unionized this past week. It should bring major improvements to my sanity, as well as better pay and insurance. It's been over a year since my department first started trying to unionize, I'm just glad we finally got there.
