June Update

Not much to say, life has been sucky, hubby is finally on a consistent chemo schedule and is due for a PET soon. I bought a new album and put it on my record shelf page. I'm upgrading my home pc so I can play Sims4 again. I'm in a bidding war on ebay for a ThinkPad, hopefully I win it, then the laptop I'm writing this on will be switched back to windows for access to windows tools, and the ThinkPad will become my daily driver Linux machine, since my current laptop doesn't have a wifi driver for linux, so I have to use a usb wifi card. I had asked reddit for advice for what upgrades I could do on my home pc to get a better experience, and I was given a lot of good advice, but, like always, there were a few assholes telling me to either just buy a new PC (like its that simple) or replace my power supply (cause mine is only 240 watts, but its proprietary and difficult to replace) either way, I ordered parts, and they should be here in a week or 2.

I've had some situational depression making it hard to keep up with things I want to do, like this blog. I've been fairly consistent with my spanish lessons though, and I feel like I'm finally getting a decent working grasp of the language. I'm working on getting my meds adjusted to help with the symptoms. I've also had worse insomnia than usual lately, so I'm hoping to maybe try some sleep aids. As a result of this my marijuana consumption has increased, which I'm not happy about, but it's one of the few ways to get my brain to feel normal enough for me to function. Because of this I've had trouble keeping up with this blog as much as I want to, as well as keeping up with chores and such too. I'm trying to remember to give myself grace in this situation.

My partner has his next chemo treatment next week, the meds they gave him after his last treatment seemed to help with his recovery, so hopefully he can stay on them. Insurance issues have been fun to deal with. My job unionized last month, but insurance doesn't kick in till next month.

Anyways, I'm gonna try to be better about keeping up with this, and hopefully I can get my meds fixed soon.
