The Vampire Armand

This one was interesting. This is probably the last Vampire Chronicles book I'll read for a while. I do still plan to finish the series, but after Memnoch the Devil and the religiosity of it, I'm not too interested in continuing the story right now. This books was slightly less religious than Memnoch, but still had strong religious themes, which makes sense because it immediately follows Memnoch and its the story of why Armand did what he did. For me, the religious themes are a turn off.

I honestly don't have much to say about this book... it was okay, learning Armand's backstory was interesting. The show deviated from it a lot, so I'm curious to see what they do with it, if they're allowed to keep going that long.

Like I said, I don't have much to say about this one. So onto more interesting things. My boss is being weird at work because I come in early instead of staying late, even though 2nd shift needs more help than 1st, but according to her it's the opposite. I firmly believe that its just a culture thing, staying late is more acceptable. My husband is supposed to be getting chemo again tomorrow, so this week is gonna be all thrown off. My first book in spanish came in today, gonna attempt to start reading it once I finish Hundred Years War on Palestine. I'm wondering if I'll actually be able to understand the book, and not just know it from reading the english version so many times. I only have 1 1/1 chapters of Hundred Years War left, so I should be starting the new book soon, I also have my next non-fiction book picked out I think. I also have to decide if I'm reading Everyday Life in the North Korean Revolution on my phone or in physical form, cause I have both, but reading on my phone is iffy, too many distractions. I could also try on my laptop I guess... maybe that would work, I just really need to finish the book.

Some libraries have these mp3 players that are preloaded with a single book on them, they're called Playaways. I loved them as a kid, and got them from my library regularly, and I wanted to get certain books on them, but they're impossible to buy directly without association with some company, and the lots on eBay are usually well picked through and don't have the books I want, plus they're $75-80 apiece.

I had been having issues with qBittorrent freezing up my laptop whenever I used it, so I deleted it, deleted all associated files catfish could find, and reinstalled it, and it seems to be working now, so I'm working on movies rn. I love piracy.
