I got my first haircut at a real barbershop today. It was really nice, the barbers were great, very chill, and queer friendly. I really like how my hair looks, the shape and everything, it accentuates how testosterone has changed my face. With how my voice has started to really change, the chest atrophy, and this haircut, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable in my own skin.
My voice cracking has been weird to get used to, I need to make more of an effort to talk in a lower register, that definitely helps. I tend to still default to my more feminine register and intonation to make others comfortable at work, thats also something I need to make an effort to correct. It has been fun for making jokes though, being able to make my voice crack to add an amusing emphasis.
My partner has his second chemo treatment on tuseday. I'm feeling less anxious than last time, though I'm annoyed at his fathers pushiness. He has insisted on being there, and driving us, without asking us if that was what we wanted. The oncology center has a masseuse on staff, and I was able to get a massage scheduled for tuseday, so that will be nice, I might even get a nap. That has been one of the hardest parts about his appointments, for me, is how they affect my sleep schedule, since I work nights, and usually go to bed around 6am, whereas his appointments are around 9am and can run well into the afternoon, and the appointments are in the middle of my work week, so I have to stay up for around 40 hours each time he has an appointment, unless I can squeeze in a nap (but that risks fucking up my sleep schedule even more), its exhausting. But anyways, the massage will be nice.
I also have a tattoo appointment on thursday. I'm getting my sleeve finished. I love getting tattooed, for me its calming, meditative, and peaceful. So while this next week will suck because of the chemo, I do have some things to look forward to.
Oh! I also ordered 2 new vinyls, and my backordered book finally shipped, so I have those to look forward to as well
I should make a place on here for my music collection, maybe make it an easter egg, idk. I think itd be fun to show off my collection, but I'd want the page to have a unique theme, not one of my two blog schemes. I'd also want to finally figure out how to add custom fonts. I tried when I first started this blog, but it was too confusing for me at that point, I'm hoping now that I have a better grasp of HTML and CSS, that it won't be as confusing. I'm already coming up with ideas.... I think that will be my next project, once I post this. I might link to it here, but I have a good idea of where to hide it as well. Idk, I'll figure it out. The CSS is gonna suuuuuck, but it'll be worth it. Also, I think I'm gonna stick with using the date as the file name, regardless of the actual title, just makes things easier.
