Laziness DOes Not Exist

This is the 2nd (at time of this being posted) book by Dr. Price, the third Unlearning Shame I read last month. I was honestly hoping to get more from this book than I did. With Unlearing Shame I felt like I came away from reading the book with new knowledge and understanding, but with this book I do not feel like I learned much, if anything. Now, this is almost entirely due to the fact that I arrived at the same conclusions that this book reaches a couple years ago, and I had already started implementing different tactics to help stave off burnout and ease my stress.

I already live a very low intensity life, with no real obligations other than work and my romantic relationship, I found hobbies that inspire me, and I make sure to keep them as hobbies only, I make time weekly to spend time with friends, and I have learned to listen to my body and its limitations. I don't take on excess obligations unless I know I will be able to fulfill it. I'm in sparse contact with my family and I have set boundaries and expectations with them, as well as my partner and friends. I am living the ultimate lazy life, and I've found myself having more energy and joy and wonder and curiosity, my life has become better for it.

If you are struggling with burnout or exhaustion or stress or overwork or anything similar, I would highly recommend this book. Dr. Price is a fantastic author, and conveys its thoughts in a clear and easily understandable manner, as well as skillfully explaining the real world implications for everything.
